Pronunciation Guide
Vowels:
e is pronounced as e as in pet (ɛ)
ë is pronounced as er as in her (ə)
o is pronounced as o as in pot (ɔ)
y is pronounced as German ü, ie. an i with rounded lips (IPA y)

ë at the end of a word is not pronounced and it lengthens the preceding syllable, eg mirë = mi:r

Consonants:
c is pronounced as ts
ç is pronounced as ch as in church (tʃ)
dh is pronounced as th as in this (ð)
gj is pronounced as gʲ, almost like dʲ (ɟ)
j is pronounced as y in yell (IPA j)
ll is pronounced as a dark l, like l in bull (ɫ)
q is pronounced as kʲ, almost like tʲ (IPA c)
rr is a trilled r
sh is pronounced as sh as in shop (ʃ)
th is pronounced as th as in thick (θ)
x is pronounced as dz
xh is pronounced as j as in judge (dʒ)
zh is pronounced as zh as in pleasure (ʒ)
