Pronunciation Guide
Vowels:
ı indicates a u sound with the lips unrounded (ɯ)
ö is pronounced ir as in bird (ø)
ü is pronounced as German ü, ie. an i with rounded lips (IPA y)

Consonants:
c is pronounced as j as in judge (dʒ)
ç is pronounced as ch as in church (tʃ)
g is pronounced as gʲ before e, i, ö or ü (ɟ)
ğ is silent, but lengthens the preceding vowel
j is pronounced as zh as in pleasure (ʒ)
k is pronounced as kʲ before e, i, ö or ü (IPA c)
l is pronounced as a dark l, like l in bull, before a, ı, o or u (ɫ)
ş is pronounced as sh as in shop (ʃ)
v is pronounced as ʋ (midway between w and v)
